Letter to President Trump
To the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump
Dear Mr. President,
First, I want to thank you for being our president for the last 4 years. I know of no one else who could have accomplished all the things that you accomplished during your presidency. You did all of this in spite of all the resistance of the liberal democrats, the fake and corrupt news, and the never-Trumpers. God bless you.
I am 87+ years and a born-again Christian. On July 18, 2019, I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. One month later, my wife Sheryl (23 years younger) was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time. With the help of great doctors and prayers from many people, we are both in remission as of now.
I was on the Bellevue City Council from 1997-2000. They tried to recall me unsuccessfully during that time. Since that time, I have appeared before the city council over 100 times, even giving suggestions on how the city should be run, criticisms, and also complimenting anyone who had done a good job for the city. About 4 years ago, I appeared before the city council and suggested they listen to Paul Harvey’s comments on police officers. I suggested at that time, it would be good if every adult heard that every week and if every child heard it 2-3 times a week. Mr. President, if you haven’t heard what Paul Harvey said, I hope that you will look it up and listen to him. I think it’s more appropriate now than ever before.
I had an idea for you for a slogan, which I probably should have given to you a lot sooner. The slogan is “TRUMP HAS MY BACK AND TRUMP HAS YOUR BACK TOO”. I watched your first debate and the town hall meeting, and I think you did well, particularly considering it was 2 against one, Chris Wallace is no friend of yours. Good luck in the second debate on Thursday. You need to have another 4 years. I think it should be a run-away, but some people in this country have gone crazy. For the future of my children and grandchildren, we need you for another 4 years. My prayers are with you.
