A Nebraska-Penn State Trophy?

A Nebraska-Penn State Trophy?

After reflecting on the Nebraska-Penn State football game, I realize that this was so much more than just a game. This was a really special moment. With all of Penn State’s problems the week before the game, there was only one team to play the game, Nebraska, the right team at the right time. Ron Brown was the right man at the right time to lead both teams in prayer on national television before the game. I believe the prayers bonded not only the teams and the coaching staffs, but also gave a special bond between the fans and the two states. I recommend that this now friendly rivalry have the trophy that they play for each year called the “Friendship Trophy”. It should be designed with two peoples’ hands clasping each other in upward positions as in prayer and have the wrists say Nebraska on one and Penn State on the other.
